    Description

SESAME STREET Colorforms Big Bird 1986 Herry Monster & Sherlock Hemlock OG
This is a previously-owned set of Big Bird Colorforms, created by Colorforms Corporation in association with the Children’s Television Workshop in 1986 (catalog #685). The set is missing one (1) piece (a guitar), but is otherwise in very nice condition, though the box shows some wear and has an inked-out section on the front (see picture). The background features a busy section of Sesame Street, complete with Big Bird's nest. The character pieces include Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, Ernie, Bert, Cookie Monster, Grover, Herry Monster, Prairie Dawn, Betty Lou, Little Bird, and Barkley. Of note, Sherlock Hemlock, the Amazing Mumford, Guy Smiley, Biff and Sully, and the Count appear in the background.
Colorforms are paper-thin, die-cut vinyl sheet images and shapes that can be applied to a slick cardboard background board, much like placing paper-dolls against a paper backdrop. The images stick to the background via static cling and can be repositioned to create new scenes. The original box sets began appearing in the 1950s and feature bright shapes and “modern” basic designs, but during the 1970s, the company expanded into cartoon character sets supporting various TV series and movie releases.
    My Policies:
We offer several different shipping options and accept Paypal (and we do indeed combine shipping). We take pride in carefully packaging purchases -- almost always in bubble-wrap and/or specially-made boxes...
Customer satisfaction rules, and making sure customers conclude a gratifying transaction is what we aim for at Glass Eye Industries. We’ve been executing appraisals, working with liquidators and buying estates for well over two decades; we’re confident we know what we’re doing and we price fairly, based on availability, collectible-value and demand. All of our items are guaranteed -- to the best of our knowledge -- to be authentic and licensed pieces. In fact, we go to great lengths to accurately photograph, research and describe the items we sell.
We are very diligent -- with people checking product on the way in and the way out; however, on occasion, minute imperfections are sometimes unavoidable (hence, refunds can only be given in cases of complete misrepresentation).
We take feedback seriously… if you encounter a problem with your Ebay item once it is received, please contact us before leaving negative or neutral comments, and we will work through the problem. We always combine shipping, as we too are buyers (just like you!). We realize that postage prices have gone up substantially, as have the price of high-quality mailing envelopes and packaging materials; our shipping prices reasonably reflect that inflation. Please do not criticize and/or give us low marks for our “shipping and handling charges” after buying. If you do not agree with the shipping charge, simply do not buy. It’ll make it much easier for both of us...
