The year 1957 was a magnificent year for Moto Guzzi. They won the Dutch TT, the Belgian Grand Prix and the Ulster Grand Prix. Good enough to secure the world championship before Gilera factory riders Libero Liberati and Bob McIntyre.

The extreme lightly build Moto Guzzi Bialbero (= d.o.h.c.) singles with their superb streamlining won the 350cc world championship 5 times between 1953 and 1957. They were designed by the famous ing. Giulio Carcano and Umberto Todero. The delivered a healthy power output of 38 hp at 8,000 rpm. Topspeed was 150 mph! They were very special motorcycles, designed by somebody that is considered a genius.
