    In 1948 H-D introduced the OHV
    Panhead
    engine model series.
    The
    FL Hydra Glide
    , which was introduced in 1949, also featured the new Panhead engine but it had something completely new to offer: the
    Hydra Glide
    hydraulic suspension front fork, well shown on the photo.
    It is a gorgeous photo, showing a great inside sight of one of the oldest motorcycle factories still in existence!
