The GT-1 is a receive-only isolation transformer that is installed between the receiver and the antenna to attenuate artificial received noise and improve the reception state.
The GT-1 is effective for PC controlled receivers such as Perseus receivers and receivers using switching power supplies.

Operating principle
Receivers, especially SDRs (software receivers) controlled by a recent PC, have a slightly different ground potential (ground potential) between the receiver side (PC side) and the base of the antenna.
This phenomenon is particularly conspicuous in high-rise housing, where a good grounding environment cannot be obtained.
The ground potential difference forms a loop (ground loop) between the antenna and the receiver (PC) through the antenna cable (feeder).
Noise from the PC power supply, especially the switching power supply, and noise from other electrical equipment are superimposed on this ground loop.
It raises the noise floor of the receiver and blocks signals that should be received.
The GT-1 is a galvanic (electrically) isolation transformer developed to break ground loops and pass only normal mode signals.
