The Car and Driver road-testers continued to praise...
... the 135i's size: "...ever since we sampled (BMW's) European 1-series a few years ago, the idea of a BMW smaller than the 3-series has struck us as a beautiful thing."
... its roominess: "... From behind the wheel in the spacious front seat-where there's plenty of headroom-the driver isn't aware of the 1-series' shrunken size. The four inches lopped out of the wheelbase are, however, noticeable in the back seat. Subjectively, the seats are slightly larger than a Mustang's back seat-kids will fit just fine, adults will find it acceptable as long as the trip is short."
... its power: "Fortunately, there is no reduction in engine size or output. The 135i gets the same 300-hp twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine as the 335i. We clocked a 0-to-60 time of 4.9 seconds for the heavier 335i; the 135i did it in a blistering 4.7, with a 13.3-second quarter-mile at 106 mph."

Clearly, the 135i is a compelling sports sedan, a present-day performance standard bearer tracing its DNA back to the legendary 1976 BMW tii.
Offered here is a recently serviced 2008 BMW 135i in silver over two-tone gray with the list of highly desirable, driver-focused modifications shown here. The car's odometer registers 96,880 miles, or a conservative 7,400 miles per-year on average. Its excellent condition overall demonstrates the significant difference meticulous owner care can make over time.
The exterior silver paint displays a like-new condition: even finish across the entire body with excellent luster. The color suits the size of the car and the design lines of its body. There are no noticeable dents, dings, or indications of road rash. The car's lowered stance offers a hint of its performance character, and the graphite-color, 5-spoke Vossen® wheels-mounted with high-performance Continental® tires-were an excellent choice on that score as well; BMW purists would approve.
